Shower Thoughts...

So, on my last post I mentioned that we were getting ready for a little adventure... Well, let me give you the full story...

My cute sister in law Amy mentioned that her and Tyson wanted to go on a vacation, but she didn't want to leave her baby boys. I told her that they HAVE to go and that her boys will never remember that they left them and that her and Tyson deserve it. So, they started planning their trip to NY and asking me lots of questions cause I just got back from there a little bit ago and I started to get SO jealous that they were going on a trip!

Then, a few days later, I'm in the shower and I decided that me and Andrew should go on a trip too...
Where to?
Then I randomly thought WASHINGTON DC!
When would we be able to go? June? NO, we're going to Hawaii in June... July? NO, we're going to Jackson Hole in July... August? HECK NO- I will be WAY to pregnant to go then... Um, May? YES! I looked at my schedule and decided that if we didn't go around May 20 then we couldn't go until like next summer... So, YES! We are going to Washington DC THIS WEEK!

I am SO excited and even more excited that I cooked this idea up in the shower and that we are actually going through with it. I always get these really great ideas, but we never follow through with them because life gets in the way, but we are going for sure and are SO excited!!! Neither of us have ever been there and thought that it'd be a fun vacation cause there is SO much to do back there! Because there is so much to do back there I have planned out like every second so that we don't miss anything and we can see and do as much as possible!

So, that is where we will be the next little while- YaHoO!!!

Also, my Dr appointment last week was great! The baby was healthy and everything looked fabulous! The ultrasound tech said that the baby is measuring a little small and changed my due date to October 2. I almost cried I was SO HAPPY! The Dr won't officially change my date because Sept. 27 and Oct. 2 is within the same week so they aren't changing it, but I told them I am cause I wanted an October baby from the start. And, my B-day is Oct. 1, My little brother's B-day is Oct. 2, my parents Anniversary is Oct.3, and my uncle Val's B-day is October 4! How awesome would that be if baby was born on October 5!!! That would ROCK!!! And, his B-day would be 10-05-10- AwEsOmE!!! I am really into having a good "date" as a birthday... ;)

We got some other really good 3D pictures, but they only printed them out for me and didn't put them on the CD so I need to go get them scanned onto my computer so I can post them cause there is one that the baby looks like he has his thumb in his mouth! And another where he has his hand behind his head like he's just relaxing in there! SO ADORABLE!!!

Everything is going great! The Dr said that the real reason that my back is hurting so bad is cause I have never weighed this much in my life and cause all the weight is in my stomach and really pulling on my back... So, like everyone has told me, it will only get worse! Fabulous...

Well, wish us luck on our grand adventure and don't worry, there will be PLENTY of pictures to share when we get home!

20 Weeks and Graduation!

YaHoo! Andrew graduated! Saturday was a really good day! We went to IHOP for breakfast. It's weird that the 4 years I've lived in Logan I have never been to the Logan IHOP... Stuffed French Toast was SO Yummy! Maybe even weirder, but the whole time that I have known Andrew we have never been out to breakfast together... He doesn't believe me, but I know I am right.

Then we went home and did nothing... It was SO nice! We just laid in bed and were lazy ALL DAY! This is the first Saturday in a while that we both have had work off.

Then, the graduation... It was SO fun to see my cute Andrew up there in those adorable cap and gowns! After the graduation we went to Firehouse Pizza. It was SO good. (Like how I mention all the food we ate that day cause it was all so good!) We had lots of family come up and we appreciate everyone for their love and support! WOW! Am I really 20 weeks?!? Am I really HALF WAY DONE?!? Am I really going to have a little baby here soon?!? This is nutz! I am still loving being pregnant, but now there are new worries and challenges. At ballet I am becoming less flexible because it is getting harder to touch my toes like I used to because my belly is on my thighs... If that doesn't make sense, when I tell my girls, "Nose to your Knees!" I can no longer do that with them- Ha Ha! The new worry is making sure that you feel your baby move everyday. I do feel this active guy move all the time, but there has been 3 nights that I have cried cause I couldn't remember if I had felt him! I seriously FREAK out because there is nothing scarier than poking your belly, laying on your side and eating ice cream and not getting that little baby to move! I know that everything is totally fine, but still at that moment I want to just run to the hospital. Anyways, no need to worry my Dr. appointment is in the morning and I really think I am just overreacting. This Dr appointment is when we were supposed to find out if it was a girl or boy, but we cheated and found out early, but I am SO excited cause we are going to get more ultrasound pictures! I'll post those asap! For now enjoy my 20 week pictures and don't worry, I know I'm getting "kinda chubby"- one of my little ballet students told me last week...










Lastly, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! This was my first Mother's Day as a Mother-to-be and I loved it! I got some great gifts and got to hang out all day with my cute nephews! I am SO grateful for all of the Mother's in my life and don't even want to think where I would be without them!

My Thoughts...

HOLY CRAP! I can not believe how fast baby bear is going to be here! I am already 19 weeks! I swear that countdown thing on the side of my blog is skipping days! Don't get me wrong, I am overly excited that our baby boy will be here so soon... I can't wait to hold him and kiss him and put lotion on his chubby little body (I love the smell of baby lotion on babies!) and dress him in all of the clothes that we already have for him! He's already so spoiled!

Andrew is gone right now, he is on Cloud 9! Andrew has been SO cute since we found out it was a boy. He has been bidding on Micheal Jordan and Baby Nike clothes on E-bay SO much! Most of the stuff we've gotten awesome deals on, but as much as I love Micheal Jordan and Nike... I need other clothes too! I have found some really cute Baby Polo things, but I guess I have a few more months to stock up on non- athletic style clothing. I do love how excited he is though!

SO I figured out why my back pain is SO horrible! I was complaining to my aunt about it and she said, "O, well you probably have a tipped uterus like all of us so the baby is sitting back farther and putting lots of pressure on your back." I guess my grandma and other aunts have a tipped uterus too and now that I think of it I remember that my Dr told me a long time ago that I have a tipped uterus... SO basically there is nothing that I can do about this, and Yes it will bother me the rest of the time- Great!

Other than that things are going great! Me and Andrew are about to do something very random, fly by the seat of our pants (not typical Ali and Andrew) adventure, but we're placing all of the pieces together and will let you know if it actually happens. And, my 20 week appointment is next week and I am SO excited for more pictures of our little guy!

Our Baby!

So this last weekend we went to Fetal Fotos! It was SO SO SO awesome! For only $79 we got a 10 minute DVD of baby moving around, a CD of pictures and some pictures printed off for us. It was WAY worth the money because now we have the coolest DVD ever and we get to show it to baby bear when baby bear is older and it will be SO cool! Here are our pictures and some exciting news...

-The Family Jewels... IT'S A BOY!!!-

We are SO happy! When the lady told us that it was a boy I started crying I got so excited! It will be SO much fun to have a big brother cause I never had one! I won't lie, I was a little bit shocked, but I shouldn't have been cause Andrew's family hasn't had a girl for 3 generations now so I really should have known better than to buy anything pink, but o well, we'll get our girl some day! Andrew still has a huge smile on his face and is SO excited to play ball with his son (I love saying that we are going to have a son!).

So while we were watching the baby move around, the lady wasn't hurting me, but it was so cool to really be able to feel that she was actually working around something inside of me. And, I know that baby doesn't like to be pushed around because it would move every time we pushed it around a lot. Even when I lean over something and it pushes on my tummy I know baby hates it! It really is so fun that I can kinda start to sense a little personality!

I am feeling just absolutely huge lately and I know that this is only the beginning. Funny story: So we were at my parents house this last weekend and me and my sisters always share and borrow clothes. So I was going through Emily's closet and I saw a new shirt that I wanted to wear. I asked her if I could take it and if it fit cute and she said, "Ya it's way cute- it's kinda baggy though, but it's really cute!" So I put it on and wear it and I really do think it is way cute. Later that night on our way to Logan we're driving home and I look down at my tummy just to admire how much I love my little boy and notice how tight the shirt is around my belly... Funny how Emily's "baggy" shirt is not so baggy on me anymore! I thought that was funny cause our sharing clothes might not work the same as it once did. Ha Ha! Love Ya!

JUST FELT BABY BEAR KICKING!!!

I know I've texted some of my besties a week or so ago and told you that I felt it, and I still think I did that night, but this was FOR SURE!!! I'm just sitting here looking at everyone's blog and the baby is kicking up a storm!!! When I felt it the nights before I was pushing on my stomach and really focusing on trying to make the baby kick with my mind, but this was no effort on my part at all! YAY!!! It really makes me love my baby more feeling it in there! YAY FOR BABY BEAR!!!

New York, Easter AND 16 Weeks!!!

I know I haven't posted in FOREVER, but I have been quite busy! Instead of making you read a bunch of crap I will have this post be mostly pictures...

I got to go to NY with my mom and sisters for my sister Emily's "Drill Nationals." They didn't compete or anything cause nationals are such a joke anyway so instead they got to take classes in NY so that was way better! I felt bad that Andrew wasn't able to go, but he would have hated to be with all these drill girls, shopping and NY traffic- he flips out in traffic...

Best Story Ever: So for those who have never been there, it is a famous little diner that is like 1950's style and all of the waiters and waitresses sing all of these old school songs. So, as we are just sitting down and this guy comes by our table singing his fabulous song he stops in the middle of his song and says to me,
"That is Fabulous Hair!"
It was SO funny! I felt pretty fabulous the rest of the night!-

-Eating at Roxy. They are famous for their huge sandwiches, but come on- that is a
little too huge! Who could eat that!-

-At FAO Schwarts I found my twin!-

-Speaking of baby, this particular moment baby was on the right and I was lopsided! For some weird reason it made me love baby bear even more-

For Easter we went and stayed at a friends cabin up in Midway. It was nice to
be away from everything and to
just relax and watch Conference all weekend.

-We got to celebrate my dad's birthday in Midway cause we missed his birthday while we were in NY... Yes, he is 35 (NOT), but he is very clever!-

-Baby Bump at 15 weeks-

-Here is my official 16 week picture! I am seriously SHOCKED that I am already 16 weeks, I know, I know there is a long road ahead of me, but really 5 months is not that far away! I can't believe that I am going to be half way done next month!-

-Baby is the size of an Avocado-

-Cute Story: At our 15 week appointment the Dr put the monitor on my stomach so we could listen to the heartbeat. The Dr told us that it might take a second to find the heartbeat because the baby is only like 4 inches and is swimming around everywhere. After about 5 seconds we found the baby over on the left side where I usually feel like the baby is (not that I can really feel it, but my stomach is always harder over there). Anyways, we find the heartbeat and listen to it for about 5 seconds and then it fades away and stops and the Dr says, "Well, we're done- the baby swam away!" How cute! Baby doesn't like to be pushed around apparently!-

-So my waist has grown another inch and at my Dr's appointment I had gained 4 more pounds, but only a total 0f 6 so I am very happy, but surprised...
I feel like I would have gained a lot more!-

I still have been feeling great! No sickness, no throwing up, no nothing- how lucky am I! The only thing is this dang back pain! It is only getting worse and I know that it will just keep getting worse! I am doing stretches, sleeping with a heating pad, taking Tylenol (only when it is really horrible because I HATE taking anything), asking so very kindly for Andrew to rub my back and sleeping with pillows in between my legs... any other suggestions?


Also, let's keep in mind that Andrew's waist line is a 38...I am totally aware that I will pass him in the waist circumference, but if I pass him up on the scale I will KILL SOMEONE- and then probably fry them up for dinner! We've always been 100 pounds apart and I would like it to stay that way, but whatev...
