12 Months!!!

What in the world. My little man is 1 today! 1 Year Old! SO sad, but so fun! He is such a good baby and always has a smile on his face! He is not feeling his best today, so our photo shoot didn't didn't go very well, but we tried...

This is how our shoot started... not happy!

Then Meggie walked in the room and he got a little happier... He loves Meggie!

Then, to make his little cheeks stay in the chair he needed a brush to brush his hair- isn't everyone happier when they are brushing their hair ;)

And this is how we ended...

THIS MONTH...
-I have kinda stop keeping track of all of his new foods because he really can eat whatever he wants and usually eats a lot of what we are eating... including chocolate!
-This month though Jackson has turned into quite the cuddle bug! I am LOVING this! He will want me to hold him and then just lay his head on my chest while I continue doing whatever I am doing- it is SO stinking cute! We've all been kinda sick lately and that has made the cuddling extra good because we just lay on the couch and watch Tom and Jerry and he loves it! I don't normally just let him sit there and watch TV, but since he's been sick I will do whatever he wants.
-He stands all by himself, no steps yet, but standing like a champ!
-He walks along things now and realy fast, it is so cute!
-He got HIs very first fever over 100... 102.1 to be exact! I felt so bad cause he seriously felt like he had been soaking in a hot tub for hours!
-We took him to his first fair and he ate some Funnel Cake and road the carousel! He liked it, but got a little nervous- maybe cause his 5 ft. mother could barely hold on to Him when the horse was going up- ha ha!

And, I am done breast feeding today. Weird! I have loved it so much and am beyond grateful that I have been able to do it for a whole year. It has been a huge comitment and I honestly didn't know that I'd love it this much, and didn't understand it when women said that they loved it so much and had a hard time stopping, but it totally is that way! Jackson has been so good and so easy to nurse- thanks buddy!

Any tips/advice to the extra-hormonal me? I have been going crazy with hormones and have an emotional break down just about every day- it's been real fun. Don't feel bad for me, feel bad for Andrew and Jackson- I think they both want me to move out! Ha! Sorry, this is kinda TMI, but I love getting advice from everyone who've gone through the same thing.

We got 1 year pics and here is a sneak peak... more, LOTS more to come later!

Cabo Celebrity!

Better Late than Never...Well our vacation was absolutely fabulous! We had such a great time and it was SO great being with my family for an entire week just relaxing by the pool! I was a little nervous about taking Jackson to Mexico at 10.5 months old, but I must have forgotten how unbelievably easy of a baby he is because he did awesome! Beyond awesome! Seiously he could not have been better! He slept on both plane rides, he took great naps during the day, he ate like a king and slept through the night every night... in a pack-n-play! (He's not a huge fan of pack-n-plays-I don't blame him!) I guess being at the pool about 10 hours a day wears him out!

So, you might be wondering why I say Cabo Celebrity- here is why...

Every day we'd wake up and go to the breakfast buffet- yum!

The workers would say...HOLA JACKSON!

I am not kidding EVERY single person that set eyes on my little man came running to get a glimps up close- like he was a celeb... HOLA JACKSON every 5 minutes!

HOLA MY BABY! (Yes, they called him "their" baby)

The workers/ waitresses all knew him by name and kept rubbing his beautiful bald head like it would give them good luck or something...

HOLA JACKSON!

When Jackson would be taking a nap and I'd be at lunch with my sisters they'd ask me where my baby was, they missed him...

HOLA MY BABY!

There was one girl, Nora, and this older lady who was vacationing from San Fran saw us coming down the hall, they both started drooling over him and then started arguing over who Jackson likes the best...

It was seriously crazy how every person would just come up to us and start touching him and tell me how cute he was and what a good baby he was- obviously I couldn't agree more! I guess they don't get too many babies at the resort.

Anyways, here are a lot, no... A FREAKING TON of pictures that might make you want to book your trip to Mexico right now!

At the airport- 8-7-2010

Maybe it is a Siegfried thing, but we believe it is mandatory to get a Cinnabon before you get on the plane no matter what, so naturally Grandpa Ned gave some to Jackson... I think it is obvious what he thought of it.

Love these ladies! Meg wasn't feeling her best so Andrew got this wheelchair for her and pushed her through the airport- what a sweet man I have!

Here we go!

Sleeping on the Plane!

Just arriving at Riu Palace!

Swimming!

Just arriving at Riu Palace!

One of the days we decided to go on a fishing trip. It sounded like it'd be awesome. In the boat they had a place where Jackson could take a nap and everything... well, it did not go so well. Cole started feeling way sick, then Andrew did (they Hyde's get way bad motion sickness) and then I kinda did. As soon as we got on the boat Jackson fell asleep on my chest so I just sat there in this chair and it got SO hot so we decided to go out and get some fresh air. All of a sudden poor baby Jackson's stomach started kinda jumping and then be barfed all over! It was so sad. I started crying cause I felt so bad and then he started crying. So, we told Pedro to take us back and we were done! Meg, my dad and our friends Masude and Julie went back out cause they were feeling fine, but they didn't get one bite from the fish in all 5 hours! I was SO happy we didn't stay with them!
About to go Fishing!

Sleeping on the boat!

And most of the days we just hung out by the pool and played by the beach! Jackson is such a water baby and could be in the water all day long!

Dancing on the beach! Me and Emily always take dance pictures on the beach!

Going out to dinner!

Clapping for the Mariachi Band!

One of the days we got to go Parasailing! It was SO awesome! Again, I was nervous to take Jackson, but he did awesome on the boat- and no one got sick!

We could not have asked for a better vacation! Jackson was perfect! It was SO nice to be able to relax and have my whole family there to help with Jackson- many hands make light work is totally true with a baby!

Sorry this took SOOO long!

Love Ya!

P.S.- My kid is going to be one in 9 days... what?!?!?

11 Months Old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No No NO! NO, my baby is NOT 11 months old! What?!?!!?! I have 30 days til I have a 1 year old! I really can NOT believe it! Like for real this last year has gone by SO fast it is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jackson is the best baby still and this month has been quite a big month...
-Jackson went out of the country for the first time.
-Went on a plane and was unbelievable.
-He got a tooth on top, making our teeth count to 3 total.
-You went to Bear Lake for the first time.
-You went to Primary for the first time (we got called to be Primary teachers, CTR 4 so Jackson gets to go with us).
-You tried lots of new foods: pumpkin bread, ham, pancakes (he ate 2 of them this morning- he LOVES them), syrup, watermelon, pineapple, apricot, nectarine, BBQ chicken (I look over at my dad and Jackson's got BBQ sauce all over his face and my dad said that Jackson was staring at his buffalo wing pretty hard so he gave him some... um, ok), 7-Up (somebody (aunt Meg) thought that it was just Chloe's water), strawberry smoothy (somebody (Andrew) didn't even noticed that he grabbed the straw), pickle, blueberry muffin, Cafe Rio rice and tortilla from mama's burrito, 4 Cheese Pasta from Cheesecake Factory and White Grape Juice!

I know, you don't have to rub it in- he looks old, he sure is FREAKING cute though!!! LOVE MY BOY!!!!

Things this guy does on command...
-Wave
-Snap! Yes, I said Snap! He taught himself how! He makes a snapping sound and everything!
-Give Kisses (almost everytime) with a big wide open mouth and yes, I love it! Jackson was ready and willingly giving kisses the other day while we were out to dinner and Andrew said, "OK, stop making out with your son- we're in public!" How mean! Um, NO, I am not going to pass up the opportunity to get a kiss from my baby, like I said before time is literally flying and before I know it Jackson will be on his mission and I will look back at this time and cry!
-Brush His hair... I mean, brush his beautiful bald head! If I hand him a brush he knows exactly what to do!
-"Come Here!" I feel like I have a puppy sometimes because I say, "Come here!" and slap my leg and make him follow me into the next room, ha ha!
-Clap
-Touch his head! I say, "Jackson, where's your head?" and he grabs his head so prefectly!
-Show me His tounge!
-Dance! It is SO cute! Almost anytime that he hears music he starts rocking His head and body! Our song is Super Bass by Nicki Minaj and he says BOOM BOOM BOOM and it is SO freaking cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still working on my Mexico post, it was an awesome trip so just you wait!

Man, I am SO behind on my blogging! A few weekends ago we went to Bear Lake with the Hyde Family. It was SO much fun! We stayed up way too late playing games and eating tons of treats! We played my favorite game Celestial Companions and won- like always, ha ha- Sorry guys! Speaking of Celestial Companions- it was Kyle and Gay's 30th Anniversary while we were there. Raegen and Amy made a cute DVD for them with pictures of them from back when they were dating til today- it turned out SO good! Here are some cute pictures from our great weekend!

Double Digits!

Yes, Jackson is 10 MONTHS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I am freaked out. Yes, I am starting to plan his party. No, I have not decided on a theme yet. ;) That pretty much covers my thoughts on this new age...

This month...
-You got a passport! What 10 month old needs a passport? Um, one who ROCKS!
-This was funny... when we were filling out the part about hair color, what do you put? TBD or NA were not options so Andrew guessed Dark Brown, why he didn't just put Brown is beyond me. A blonde could get away with "Brown" and a brunette can get away with "Brown" to, but he thought Dark Brown was a better choice. Also, his passport is honestly the cutest picture I have ever seen of him! They said that it was the cutest picture they have ever taken! The girls there probably took copies for themselves!
-You started CRAWLING! (07-08-2011)
-You pull yourself up and stand a lot and make me nervous.
-You have eaten a ton of new food this month: hash browns, fresh banana, strawberry, peaches, grapes, mandarin oranges, pears, and nectarines, nila wafers, spaghetti-o's (absolutely hated these), pear-raspberry mix- not a hit at first, but the second try he liked them, pasta primavera (HATED this, gagged! I've never seen him hate a food more!), Strawberry Yogurt Melts, lil' crunchies mild cheddar (loves these!), rice, pieces of bread, cooked noodles (not a big fan- I think he doesn't like the texture) and I am sure there is more I can't think of...
-Most days I feel like I am feeding my baby bird... I bite off pieces for him and feed him just like the birds do it!
-You are still sleeping like a champ and taking 2 naps.
-You went to the Zoo and loved the giraffes.
-You celebrated your first 4th of July!
-You burp and laugh and say eeewwwwww everytime- maybe I shouldn't have been doing that cause now he does, but it is so dang cute I don't even care!
-You are the cutest ever! We read Sandra Bouynton's The Going to Bed Book every night (have it memorized) and when it says "Now everybody goes below," "And when the moon is on the rise, they all go up..." and "Down once more, but not so fast." we run our fingers down the book to make it sound like the little animals are running up or down... well, you started doing it the other night and I almost cried it was SO freaking cute!
-You sign "More" to me, even though it is kinda more of a clap you do it when you eat a food you really like like peaches.
-You're a waving machine! Sometimes I worry your arm might fly off. You waved at the nice lady in the mall and it made me so proud to be your mama!
-You clap like one of those creepy monkey's with those symbols!
-You snort and sniff and make yourself laugh.
-You like to play with your tongue, hopefully it'll be as long as your papa's- Andrew can pick his nose with his tongue!
-You make a clicky noise with mouth that is so cute!
-And lastly YOU ROCK! You are honestly the easiest, funnest baby in the world! I don't know what I must have done to deserve such an awesome kid like you, but I'd do it ten times over to have you in my life forever!

SO, with this 1st birthday creeping up on us, are there any cute traditions that you all are doing with your kidos that I should start? I can't WAIT to throw him a fun party- my girl Giuliana will probably be there covering the whole event!

We saw 17 Miracles about the Pioneers- it was really good. It ended with this quote and I love it! I loved President Hinckley so much!

"I will never get over being thankful to them; I hope you never get over being thankful to them. I hope that we will always remember them...Let us read again and again, and read to our children or out children's children the account of those who suffered so much." -Gordon B. Hinckley, Jan 31, 1999 Church News, Page 5

Have a GREAT Pioneer weekend!
